Meet the Staff
Rev. Nea J. Huggins
Hi! I'm Pastor Nea Huggins. As pastor, my primary areas of responsibility include preaching, teaching, vision casting, oversight of pastoral care, and leadership development. I am passionate about seeing lives transformed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I strongly believe in raising up and equipping the body of Christ to lead and care for one another. We are the priesthood of all believers (1Peter 2:9) and by virtue of our baptism we are all called into ministry. My desire is to help each person to discover their spiritual gifts and empower them to use them in service to God.
I moved to Sioux City to begin my appointment at Wesley on July 1, 2010. My family includes my 5 children: Preston, Carter, Mason, Madison, and Hannah, and our two cats: Buster and Baby.
I am a native of Des Moines, Iowa. I have a bachelor's degree from The University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. I earned a Master's of Divinity from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa.
While attending seminary, I served as the pastor of Sherrill UMC in Sherrill, Iowa. I also served as contemporary worship leader at First UMC in Newton, Ia, and occasionally I am blessed to sing and hold women's events with the trio, Faith Journey

Choir Director / Organist / Comtemporary Worship Leader
“Hi! My name is Chrissy (Koudelka) Martinez and I am excited to begin my journey at Wesley with you all! Here are a few highlights of my church music background. When I was eight years old, I began as a church organist in my small hometown of unincorporated Little Turkey and Reilly Ridge playing regularly for Sunday Services. I filled my days practicing the church hymns. Time flew and finally I was a senior in high school. I went and trekked to the other side of the state to Briar Cliff College. I taught beginner piano lessons in college and accompanied the choirs. Shortly after I began to play services at St. Joseph’s, Salix.
For the past 18 years in Siouxland it has been an honor and a privilege to lead music. Presently, my weekdays are filled with accompanying at Briar Cliff University, Morningside College and West High School. On weekends, I am a musician at Augustana Lutheran Church, First Covenant Church, and St. Michael’s Church in South Sioux City. Additionaly, I am an on-call pianist and interpreter. So possibly, you may see me at other churches or businesses.
When I am not working, I volunteer by assisting vocal choirs weekly at St. Michael’s School and Siouxland for Active Generations. On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, musical entertainment is provided at Holy Spirit. I reside in Nebraska and my most valued treasures are my husband and three children, dear friends and extended family, meeting and visiting with people, and growing more in my faith. Thanks for your time and God’s Blessings on all of you, my newest friends :) !!
